BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
THE SOCIETY ENGAGEMENT AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME (SEEP)
The Society Engagement and Enrichment Programme at Auckland House School for Boys serves as a comprehensive platform for students to explore a diverse range of interests, develop leadership skills, and engage with the community. Our 17 societies, driven by student initiative and guided by masters in charge, offer unique opportunities for intellectual, creative, and social growth. From academic pursuits to the arts and community service, the programme fosters a culture of holistic development.
CORE COMPONENTS OF THE PROGRAMME
Academic Activities and Quizzing
Students engage in intellectually stimulating activities such as quizzing, debates, and Olympiads. The Logica Luminary Society focuses on logic and Math based challenges and critical thinking, while the Quiz and Olympiad Champions Club pushes students toward academic excellence through competitions.
STEM and Digital Innovation
The Code Crafters Club is dedicated to teaching coding, programming, and digital innovation. Students develop essential skills in technology, preparing them for the digital future while working on projects that encourage logical thinking and creativity.
Workshops, Lectures, and Field Trips:
Expert led workshops, insightful lectures, and educational trips are integral to the programme, enriching students' learning experiences and providing hands on exposure to their subjects of interest. Societies like the History and Archeology Club and Aucky Geographer’s Club lead students into deep explorations of history, archaeology, and geographical studies through discussions and fieldwork.
Creative Arts and Culture
The arts play a vibrant role within the programme. Students can showcase their talents in drama through the Scene Stealers Drama Company, photography and digital media with Pixel Perfect, and music within the Orpheus Society. The Creative Writing Club and Art Club nurture expression through writing, painting, and other visual arts, while The Movement Guild offers a space for physical expression through dance and movement.
Sustainability and Community Service
The programme prioritizes global responsibility, with sustainability initiatives aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the UN, organized by the Environment Club. The School also has a project for Rain Water Harvesting which apart from being environment friendly also helps to tide over the water crisis in Summer. Additionally, The Social Outreach Society encourages students to engage in community service, fostering empathy and a commitment to social responsibility.

In parallel, The Political Equity Society serves as a forum for discussions on political theory and issues of equity, offering students an environment to engage in meaningful dialogue about democratic values.
Outdoor and Adventure Activities
The programme also includes hiking, trekking, and educational tours that offer boys an opportunity to explore nature, foster teamwork, and build resilience. These activities complement the academic and physical development of students while promoting an adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.
Counselling (Career and Personal)
