Over the next few years, parents of UPD students will notice changes in how their children engage with the curriculum at their grade level. Changes in classroom instruction will be designed to prioritize the development of critical and analytical thinking. The first step towards this transformation was taken last year with the introduction of a dedicated STEM lab for the UPD section. To further enhance communication skills, various innovative methods and techniques will be integrated into all subjects.

It is a truism that the knowledge and skills you acquire now lay the groundwork for the opportunities of the future.

At Auckland House School for Boys, students are uniquely positioned to be part of an institution that prioritizes not just academic excellence but also equips them to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and resilience.
As the world continues to change, driven by new technologies, evolving industries, and shifting career landscapes, success requires more than textbook knowledge. It demands critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability—skills essential for navigating the complexities of the modern workforce and addressing pressing social and environmental challenges.
We encourage our students to actively explore their interests, pursue new knowledge, and embrace lifelong learning. Whether through hands-on experiences or staying up-to-date with advancements across various fields, every step they take builds a foundation for the exciting and diverse opportunities that await them.
Education at Auckland Boys is not just about exams; it’s about preparing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

These changes will undoubtedly help students connect classroom learning with real-world situations.
This approach aims to encourage students to take an active role in their own learning process. As a result, they will be more motivated to ask insightful questions, make connections across different subjects, and develop a deeper understanding of not just what they are learning, but also why and how those concepts are important. This shift fosters a more holistic and engaged approach to teaching and learning.
Learning will be centered on a thorough grasp of concepts and their application to real-life situations. A strong emphasis will be placed on learning by doing, allowing students to apply their knowledge in practical, real-world contexts. Additionally, cross-curricular teaching methods will be incorporated to provide a more integrated and comprehensive understanding of subjects. By connecting knowledge through an interdisciplinary approach, students will enhance their physical, mental, motor, and communication development.
Furthermore, recognizing that learning is a collaborative process between school and home, parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s educational journey. The school fully supports parental involvement, as a nurturing home environment plays a crucial role in bringing out the best in a child. This partnership between parents and teachers will help ensure that students not only achieve academic excellence but also develop strong values, morals, and principles.

Activities at the UPD Level

To nurture holistic development, a variety of activities are offered to students:

Sports Participation
Sports play a vital role in a child’s development at Auckland Boys. Equal emphasis is placed on sports and academics. Boys can participate in hobby classes such as skating and Taekwondo during school hours. They also engage in activities like yoga, gymnastics, PT drills, aerobics, and athletics during the annual sports day, fostering qualities such as sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.

STEM Lab Introduction
Our STEM Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) provides hands-on learning opportunities that encourage creativity, innovation, and analytical thinking. Through STEM, boys develop critical problem-solving skills while learning to address real-world challenges with confidence.
Participation in Diverse Activities
To promote well-rounded development, students participate in activities like elocution (in both Hindi and English), dance, drama, and singing. These activities enhance creativity, self-expression, and public speaking abilities, empowering students to develop their confidence and voice.

Group Activities
Engaging in group activities such as collage-making and card-making competitions helps boys discover hidden talents and learn how to collaborate effectively within a team. These activities nurture teamwork, creativity, and communication skills.

Cross-Curricular Learning
Cross-curricular learning encourages students to make connections between different subjects, enhancing their understanding and critical thinking. This approach fosters creativity and provides a more integrated and engaging learning experience.
Through these initiatives, Auckland Boys prepares its students to become well-rounded individuals, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to excel in a constantly evolving world.
